Namchi, September 12, 2025 – The 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. was held today at the Town Hall, Namchi.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, Managing Director, and staff of the Milk Union, along with representatives from the Department of Animal Husbandry, the Department of Cooperation, and participants from Milk Producer Cooperatives (PCS) across all five districts of Sikkim. Several dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
During the AGM, the annual audit report of the Milk Union was presented. The session also included discussions on future programmes, and an announcement regarding the price difference of milk is expected.
In a special recognition ceremony, the Milk Union felicitated eight women presidents representing women-led Milk Producer Cooperatives from across the five districts of Sikkim. This gesture highlighted the Union’s commitment to empowering women in the cooperative sector.
The AGM served as an important platform to review progress, plan ahead, and strengthen the cooperative movement in Sikkim’s dairy sector.
