919 TOURISTS ARRIVE IN NORTH SIKKIM ON DECEMBER 14, 195 VEHICLES REPORTED
On December 14, 2024, North Sikkim welcomed a significant number of tourists, with a total of 919 visitors recorded, continuing the steady flow of tourist activity following the reopening of the Toong-Naga road. According to the Permit Cell, Sikkim Police, the breakdown of tourists includes 802 domestic tourists, with 563 males, 239 females, and 68 children traveling on online permits. Additionally, 16 domestic tourists—comprising 12 males, 4 females, and no children—obtained offline permits.

The foreign tourist count also remained steady, with 33 foreign visitors recorded, including 24 males, 7 females, and 2 children. A total of 195 vehicles facilitated the movement of these tourists.
