Heads of Offices Receive Directives to Enhance Governance in Pakyong
Pakyong, February 19 (IPR): Mr Rohan Agawane, District Collector Pakyong, convened a coordination meeting with the Head of Offices at the Rurban Complex at Pakyong today to emphasise the Chief Minister’s directives aimed at enhancing governance and reviewing the revenue updates from various departments within the district.
Mr Agawane stressed the significance of punctuality in the workplace, urging all staff members to arrive on time and uphold a sense of discipline. He emphasised the necessity of maintaining attendance records for each employee, cautioning that non-compliance would result in repercussions.
In addition, he added that no social engagements or obligatory functions would be permitted during office hours. He also stressed the importance of starting the process of leave encashment on a priority basis and urged the Heads of Offices (HOOs) to ensure that they provide documentation related to the transactions involving the purchase of government lands to maintain transparency.
Furthermore, Mr Agawane advocated for the transition to an E-office system, asserting that it would conserve resources and enhance operational efficiency.
During the meeting, he enquired about the update on revenue generation from various departments, further offering suggestions to enhance their financial performance.
Also in attendance were Mr Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, ADC Pakyong; Mr Robin Pd Sewa, ADC (Development); Mr Chopel Bhutia, Additional Director, Agriculture & Horticulture Department; Mr Narayan Mishra, Chief Education Officer in Charge; Mr Thendup Lepcha, SDM (HQ); Ms Sujata Subba, SDM Rangpo; along with Head of Offices and officials from various line departments.
