DLMC of Pakyong District Reviews Operations at MBPCL, at Rangpo
Pakyong, September 12 : The District Level Monitoring Committee of Pakyong District, headed by ADC Pakyong, Mr Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, conducted its bimonthly inspection at Madhya Bharat Power Corporation Limited (MBPCL), Rangpo today.
This meeting aimed to assess the ongoing operations, ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in the area, and promote a safe working environment.
The inspection team comprised of SDM Rangpo, Mrs Sujata Subba; Joint Director, Mines & Geology Department, Ms Prakriti Pradhan; DFO (T), Mr Sonam Pintso Bhutia; DPO Pakyong, Mr Tikaram Chettri; AE Water Resources Department, Ms Anju Pradhan, along with officials from various line departments and MBPCL.
During the inspection, the committee reviewed actions taken since the last inspection, identifying potential areas for improvement, which included assessing safety measures and implementations at MBPCL, evaluating machine functionality and checking the working processes.
Additionally, ADC Pakyong enquired about the technicalities and operations of the power plant and advised the concerned departments to provide timely reports to avoid issues in the future.
Further, the team conducted a thorough tour of the plant site, inspecting the powerhouse and switchyard areas of MBPCL.
During the tour, the officials from MBPCL provided details on the various technical aspects of the project, offering valuable insights into the plant’s operations, infrastructure and technical specifications.
