Namsoong Cup Football Tournament: Day Five Delivers Thrilling Encounters
Takshang | Lepcha Tar — The ongoing Namsung Cup Football Tournament at Lepcha Tar, Takshang, witnessed two highly exciting matches on its fifth day today, drawing enthusiastic participation from players and spectators alike.
In the first match, Last Dance faced Pachey United B in a closely contested encounter. The match ended in a 1–1 draw at the end of regular time. The winner was decided through a penalty shootout, where Pachey United B emerged victorious with a 3–2 win.
The Man of the Match award for the first encounter was presented to Saknon Lepcha of Team Last Dance for his outstanding performance.
The second match saw AKU Boyz take on Rolling Leopard in another thrilling contest. Rolling Leopard edged past their opponents with a 4–3 victory in a high-scoring and competitive match.
For the second match, Suraj Rai of Team Rolling Leopard was adjudged Man of the Match for his exceptional display on the field.
The programme was graced by the presence of social activist Mr. Bijay Bhattarai and the Second Commandant of SSB 69th Battalion, who encouraged the players and appreciated the spirit of sportsmanship showcased during the tournament.
