A team led by General Secretary (Press & Media), SKM Mr. Bum Tshering Yonzon, AE PHE (Pakyong) Niraj Chettri, RO(T) Pakyong YN Adhikari Project Manager NHIDCL and Officials of Nalanda Company conducted a joint inspection today at ongoing construction site of NHIDCL Dungel Kharka periphery.
The inspection aimed to assess the impact of the new road construction on the local water sources and its damages. Public of Pakyong is facing acute shortage of drinking water due to muddy flowing water from ongoing construction work of NHIDCL
During the inspection, took stock of the situation of the area and it was found that the surface water from the new cutting road of NH717B Menla Road flows into Richu Khola, making the water unusable for drinking purposes.
After thorough inspection Officials of PHE department assured that it will be resolved soon.
