RESTORATION EFFORTS IN FULL SWING ON UTTAREY-CHEWABHANJANG ROAD, EXPECTED TO REOPEN SOON
The Uttarey-Chewabhanjang road, closed since June 2023 due to a massive landslide, is undergoing rapid restoration. This vital route, which connects to the Indo-Nepal border in Chewabhanjang, West Sikkim, is expected to reopen soon, improving accessibility to the region.
Road and Bridges Minister NB Dahal stated that restoration work is progressing swiftly. He assured that once completed, the road will allow seamless travel to Chewabhanjang via the Uttarey-Sopakha route, bringing significant benefits to the area.
