In a troubling series of thefts across Sikkim, another temple has fallen victim to burglars. On the night of December 15th, 2024, the renowned Sri Seti Singha Devi Mandir, located at 20th Mile Bardang along National Highway 10, was broken into by an unidentified thief.

This incident follows a string of similar crimes, including recent looting incidents in the Pakyong District, where two temples were targeted. CCTV footage from the temple has captured the suspect in the act, but the thief’s identity remains unknown. The temple authorities and local police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator.
The Mandir Committee has also asked anyone who may recognize the thief or who has information related to the crime to immediately inform the police or the temple committee. This ongoing series of thefts has left the local community deeply concerned, and authorities are working to investigate the incidents further.
