THREE INJURED AS MAHINDRA THAR TUMBLES DURING OVERTAKING NEAR GAIDHARA, NH-10

A Mahindra Thar (registration number WB 66AA-4483) tumbled approximately 400 feet down a slope near Gaidhara along NH-10 on January 6, 2025, around 9:35 PM. According to Singtam Police, the accident occurred as the vehicle, en route to Gangtok from Singtam, lost control during an overtaking attempt.

The driver, Nitesh Chettri, and two passengers sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were quickly evacuated to Central Referral Hospital (CHR) with the assistance of local residents and police personnel.

The accident site has been preserved for legal formalities, and an FIR has been lodged under Sections 281 and 125 of the BNS 2023.

Police are investigating the incident to determine the precise cause of the accident.
