NLM Team Evaluates Key Rural Development Schemes in Pakyong District
Pakyong, October 9 (IPR): A meeting between the National Level Monitoring (NLM) team from the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, and the district officials of Pakyong was held today at the conference hall of the Rural Development Department (RDD), Pakyong.
The NLM team’s visit aims to monitor and assess the implementation of pivotal programmes under the Ministry of Rural Development and the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in Pakyong District.
The meeting, chaired by Mr Robin Pd. Sewa, ADC (Dev), was attended by Mr Raju Pradhan, Deputy Secretary RDD, Mr Anil Giri, Deputy Director, along with officials from various departments and representatives from Gram Panchayats.
In the discussions, the NLM team engaged with district officials to review the progress and implementation status of several flagship programs, including: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-Watershed Development Component (PMKSY-WDC), Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) and Basic Panchayat Verifications.
Furthermore, the officials also provided updates on the current implementation status, discussing achievements and challenges faced in the district.
Following the meeting, the NLM team visited Pachey Samsing to assess progress on the ground.
The monitoring team will visit 10 Gram Panchayats across the districts, engaging with local governance bodies, including District officials of concerned departments, to review the implementation of these programmes and address any challenges identified.
