Soreng, 1 June 2024 In readiness of the upcoming counting of votes for Soreng district, the Assembly Constituency wise second randomization of Counting Personnel was held at the DAC Soreng, today. The entire process was carried out in the presence of Ms Yishey D Yongda, DEO/ DC Soreng and the Counting Observers Mrs Rikse R. Marak (SCS) for 07- Soreng Chakung and Mr Rajesh Kumar Shavan (SCS) for 08-Salghari-Zoom. Eleven additional postal ballots from service voters were received from the Post Office Pakyong today. The postal ballots were handed over to Mr Tashi Chophel, District Election Officer cum District Collector Pakyong, by Pakyong Post Office official in the presence of Mr Sandesh Subba, SDM Pakyong, and election agents from various political parties. Following Election Commission of India (ECI) regulations, the ballots were sorted according to their respective Assembly Constituencies (AC) and the dates of receipt.
