Inauguration of MILL House and Rural Marketing Center by Additional District Collector Pakyong

The Citizens Foundation’s HDFC Parivartan HRDP Sikkim project celebrated the official inauguration of the MILL House and Rural Marketing Center today, with Additional District Collector Pakyong District, Robin Sewa, presiding over the event. During his visit, ADC commended the project’s significant contributions to the local community. He highlighted the project’s dedication to preserving local heritage through the Rice, Maize, and Mustard MILL infrastructure, which supports the grinding of organic, locally sourced products. Sewa emphasized that this initiative not only fosters sustainable agricultural practices but also promotes the use of healthful, organic products that are abundant in Sikkim.ADC was particularly impressed by the project’s holistic approach, which integrates improvements across various sectors. He praised the renovation of Linkey Primary Health Center, the construction of a waiting shed, and the installation of photovoltaic and solar lights, all of which contribute to enhancing community well-being and infrastructure.“The work done by the Citizens Foundation is commendable,” he remarked. “Their efforts to preserve local agricultural traditions and promote sustainable practices are crucial for the health and prosperity of the community.
