District-Level Science Exhibition and Quiz Competition Fosters Innovation and Talent
A district-level science exhibition and quiz competition for elementary and secondary level students of government schools in Pakyong was held at Government Secondary School, Tarpin, today.

Organised by the District Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Education Department, Pakyong, under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA), the event aimed to foster scientific temperament and innovation among students.
Mr Kumar Pradhan, Joint Director of the Rongli Subdivision, expressed his commendation for such initiatives, noting that they provide students with valuable opportunities to participate and exhibit their talents. Furthermore, he encouraged students to pursue continuous improvement and urged teachers to facilitate their learning journeys. He stressed the significance of ongoing development, calling on educators to assist winning students in further honing their skills.
The quiz competition was conducted in two categories, elementary and secondary levels. In the elementary category, Parakha block secured the first position, followed by Regu block and Duga block.
In the secondary category, Namcheybong block emerged as the winner, with Pakyong block and Rhenock block securing the second and third positions, respectively.
The science exhibition featured participants from elementary and secondary levels representing twenty-three schools in the competitive category, along with two non-competitive schools.
In elementary level, Rhenock Khamdong Junior High School secured the first position, followed by Machong Senior Secondary School and Dugalakha Secondary School.
In secondary level, Assam Lingzey Senior Secondary School secured the first position, followed by Tarpin Secondary School and Rhenock Senior Secondary School.
An awards and certificate distribution ceremony was held subsequent to the event, where winners were honoured, and all participants received certificates recognising their achievements.
The event was attended by Mr ST Bhutia, Joint Director, Regu BAC; Ms Hem Kalyani Gurung, Deputy Director, Rongli subdivision and Mr Jeewan Kr Rai,Deputy Director, Rhenock BAC along with Mrs Geeta Sharma, Deputy Director, Education Department; Assistant Directors and officials from various blocks under the district.
