Nepali Army Patrols Kathmandu Streets After Violent Gen-Z Protests

Kathmandu, Sept. 10: The Nepali Army has been deployed across key areas of the capital following violent Gen-Z-led protests that rocked the city in recent days. Soldiers were seen patrolling major intersections, stopping individuals from wandering without purpose and urging residents to return home.

Authorities stated that only emergency workers and essential service providers carrying valid identification cards are being allowed to move freely. The move comes amid heightened tensions after demonstrations against the now-withdrawn social media ban turned violent, leaving scores dead and hundreds injured.
