Today, a team from the SDF Party Headquarters and the Pakyong District Committee visited several villages under Chujachen, Gnathang-Machong, and Rhenock constituencies as part of a social outreach programme.

The team was led by Mr. Dev Gurung, Pakyong District In-charge and Senior Vice President (Administration & Legal Affairs). During the visit, the team interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns.
The villagers said that the SKM Government has failed to carry out its responsibilities properly, causing great hardship to the people. They expressed disappointment that the government is not working for the welfare of the public and is treating people unfairly.
Many residents said that during the SDF Government led by Shri.Pawan Chamling, the people were respected and treated with dignity. They said government leaders were humble and served the people, whereas today they are feeling neglected and are living with fear and uncertainty.
The villagers also said that instead of development, they are witnessing decline. Many expressed regret that they failed to recognize true leadership in the past. They spoke about the shortage of cash, lack of employment opportunities, and the overall economic difficulties faced by people across the villages.
They also conveyed their deep respect and remembrance of Shri.Pawan Chamling and said they continue to have faith in his leadership.
During the meeting, the SDF team encouraged the people to remain “United” and “Fearless”. They conveyed Shri.Pawan Chamling’s message was in a Democratic form, ( of the people, by the people, for the people)… the people were in the highest authority, and when united, they have the power to bring positive political change.
The team urged the people to stay united beyond differences of Caste, Religion, Race or Community, and to work together as one Sikkimese society with mutual respect and cooperation.
The team also informed the people that the SDF Party and Shri.Pawan Chamling are fully aware of the hardships faced by the people and that the party is continuously working to formulate policies and programmes to address these issues.
The delegation also met founding members of the SDF Party and had a healthy discussion on the current political situation in Sikkim and various public issues.
The delegation included Mr. Karma Tashi Bhutia, Senior Vice President and State Youth Front In-charge, and Mr. Prakash Lee, Youth In-charge.
