The second day of the Friday Field Day initiative, dedicated to the mission of reviving barren lands for cultivation, had participation from various offices, including all BACs, all GPUs, and all Sub-Division offices under the jurisdiction of the Pakyong District.
This initiative aims to enhance food security, support local farmers and rural communities, and promote sustainable agriculture practices in Pakyong District.
On this particular Friday, the mission to revive barren lands for cultivation was initiated by the Office of Additional District Collector (Dev), supported by Panchayats, Additional Director Agriculture & Horticulture, Additional Director Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Block Development Officers, Assistant Directors Panchayati Raj Institutions, and Gram Prashasan Kendras Pakyong District.
Reviving barren lands for cultivation is crucial for enhancing food security and supporting local farmers and rural communities. Conservation of water and soil resources remains a priority, as this initiative could help reduce soil erosion and landslides in the hilly regions of Pakyong District.
The promotion of sustainable agriculture practices is expected to boost economic growth and development in the area.
