Paryavaran Parva was observed at Kameray model Village under Rangpo (T) Range with a mass plantation drive under the theme “Mero Bato, Mero Bot.” Ornamental plants were planted along the Kameray roadside to promote environmental conservation and beautification.
The programme was attended by Mr LN Dahal as a chief guest ,Mr. C.P. Bhattarai, Hon’ble Panchayat; Mr. Navin Gurung, ACF, Rangpo (T); Mr. Bishal Rai, Range Officer, Rangpo (T); Mr. Krishna Dahal; Mr. Gautam Gurung, BO; and the Forest staff of Rangpo (T) Range.Smt Chandra maya pradhan WDS president, JJS Board Kameray all SHGs leader along with villages.
During the programme, passbooks were handed over to the parents of three children under the Sikkim Shishu Samriddhi Yojana. In addition, 108 tree saplings were distributed to the three families under the “Mero Rukh, Mero Santati” initiative, encouraging families to nurture trees alongside the growth of their children.
