An Awareness-cum-Felicitation Programme along with distribution of materials to WDS, ICDS and Vending Machines of Rhenock and Tarpin GPK under Rhenock BAC was successfully organised by the Zilla Panchayat, Rhenock Tarpin Territorial Constituency under the leadership of Smt. Babita Gadaily at RBG Secondary School, Tarpin, Rhenock.
The programme was graced by Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bishnu Kumar Khatiwara as the Chief Guest.
Several dignitaries attended the event, including OSD to HMLA Shri D.B. Chhettri, OSD to Directorate of Sikkim Lotteries Shri Santosh Kumar Pradhan, CA to HCM Shri Urgen Lepcha, SDM Rongli Shri Suren Kumar Pradhan, Pakyong District Youth Convener Shri Angdup Yonzon, CLC President (Rhenock) Shri Mahendra Subba, DPO PDZP Shri Sonam Zangpo Bhutia, BDO Rhenock Shri S.K. Dhungana, General Secretary of Sikkim News Guthi Shri Gagan Pradhan, Panchayat Presidents Smt. Nirmala Kalikotey and Smt. Uma Chettri, Headmistress Smt. Durga D. Sharma, District Nari Executive Smt. Sushila Thapa, and CLC Nari Convener Smt. Bindhya Thapa, along with Panchayat members, SHG members and other distinguished guests.
During the programme, Zilla Panchayat Smt. Babita Gadaily highlighted the objectives of the programme and explained the distribution of materials provided from the Zilla Panchayat fund. She also briefed the gathering on the utilisation of Zilla Panchayat funds, ongoing developmental projects, flagship schemes and various beneficiary-oriented initiatives. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) for creating opportunities for women’s empowerment and for his unwavering dedication towards the welfare of the people of Sikkim.
On the occasion, four individuals were felicitated for their remarkable contributions in different fields.
Addressing the gathering, Advisor to HCM Shri Bishnu Kumar Khatiwara congratulated the Zilla Panchayat for organising such a meaningful programme and appreciated their continuous efforts in supporting the development of the Territorial Constituency. He also highlighted the vision of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) in uplifting the people through the successful statewide initiative “Connect to CM.”
He further elaborated on the achievements of the SKM Government in Rhenock Constituency and across the state.
The programme was also addressed by the Headmistress of Tarpin Secondary School, DPO Pakyong District Zilla Panchayat, SDM Rongli, and other dignitaries who appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of community development and welfare programmes.
