Pakyong, 24 June 2026: The Bhanu Jayanti Organising Committee, in collaboration with the District Administration, Pakyong, convened a coordination meeting today at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong, to review and finalize preparations for the District-Level 212th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration scheduled to be held on 29th June 2026 at Community Hall, Pakyong.
The meeting was chaired by District Collector Ms. Pari Bisnoi and attended by Shri Thendup Lepcha, SDM Pakyong, Mr. Bishal Sharma Pokhrel, APS, Pakyong District, the President and members of Sikkim Pratibha Pratishthan, and members of the Bhanu Jayanti Organising Committee.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the successful conduct of the celebration. Responsibilities related to venue management, food arrangements, decoration, water supply, cleanliness, volunteer management, hospitality, media coordination, and security arrangements were assigned to the respective committees and stakeholders.
The programme schedule was thoroughly reviewed, and the panel of judges for the Ramayan Path was finalized. The confirmed judges are Dr. Sarda Chhetri, Assistant Professor, Department of Nepali, Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College, Tadong; Dr. Krishna Sapkota, Assistant Professor, Khangchendzonga State University; and Dr. Ratna Bahadur Rasaily, Assistant Professor, Khangchendzonga State University.
The committee also decided that the final list of participants and invited guests will be confirmed by 26th June 2026. Necessary instructions were issued to ensure that all arrangements are completed well in advance of the celebration.
The District Collector called upon all stakeholders and committee members to work in close coordination and extend their full support for the successful organization of the event.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a shared commitment to make the District-Level 212th Bhanu Jayanti Celebration a memorable occasion and a fitting tribute to the Adikavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya.
