Mamring, Pakyong, June 25: In a spiritually uplifting and joyous ceremony, the newly constructed Radha Krishna Mandir at Mamring Gaushala was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Shri Puran Kumar Gurung in the presence of a large gathering of dignitaries, devotees, local residents, and well-wishers.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with traditional Vedic rituals, prayers, and the chanting of sacred hymns, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. The newly consecrated temple is expected to serve not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for promoting spiritual values, cultural traditions, and community harmony.
The auspicious occasion was graced by Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bishnu Kumar Khatiwara, OSD, Information Technology Department, Shri Bum Tshering Yonzon, Zilla Panchayat Dr. Subhadra Dangal, the President of Amba Gram Panchayat Unit, Panchayat Members from various wards of Amba GPU, departmental heads and officials of the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Government of Sikkim, along with representatives of various organizations and members of the local community.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Mamring Gaushala management and all those who contributed to the construction of the temple. They highlighted the significance of preserving religious and cultural heritage while emphasizing the importance of protecting and caring for cattle, which hold a revered place in Indian culture and tradition.
Following the inauguration, the Hon’ble Minister and the distinguished guests visited different sections of the Mamring Gaushala, where they interacted with the management and staff to understand the facilities and ongoing activities for cattle welfare. As a symbolic gesture of compassion and reverence, the Minister and other guests participated in feeding the cows, reaffirming the collective commitment towards animal welfare and the preservation of indigenous values.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, members of the Sikkim Marwari Association also visited the Mamring Gaushala and participated in the cow-feeding programme. Their contribution reflected the association’s continued commitment to social service, religious values, and the welfare of cattle.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees and local residents, who offered prayers and sought blessings at the newly inaugurated Radha Krishna Mandir. The event concluded with the distribution of prasad and a collective prayer for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of all.
